Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Industries and Production and Investment, Foreign Minister Mr. Shah Mahmood Qureshi and  Secretary Commerce, Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera welcomed  President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta to inaugurate Pakistan Africa Trade Development Conference 2020 at Nairobi Kenya. Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera presented trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan, to the African delegates and invited them to develop and enhance Pakistan Africa trade and develop banking and transportation channels. He highlighted that Pakistan is on the path of economic growth and has attracted FDI from leading investors in last year. He informed the audience that Pak Africa trade is below its potential and Pakistan is looking forward to partnerships with Africa.

The President of Kenya thanked Pakistan for hosting first of its kind conference in Kenya and by choosing Kenya, proving that Kenya is the gateway to Africa. He met Pakistani businessmen and announced that he will visit Pakistan soon on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He declared that he values friendship with Pakistan and desires to enhance bilateral trade.

The Kenyan Foreign Minister and Trade Minister also attended the conference and also held bilateral meetings with Pakistan Ministers. Kenyan Ministry of Commerce and East Africa Association also presented business opportunities in East Africa.

Leading Pakistani companies and African companies held over one thousand B2B meetings on the sidelines of the conference, The Advisor to PM on Commerce, also met governor of central bank of Africa, Kenyan Manufactures Association, President, Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry,  Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) & Manufacturing Association  of Nigeria. He also held meetings with Elaraby, Export Business Development Company, Egypt and Rainbow Traders, South Africa.  Pakistani business delegation comprises of leading businessmen including K.K.  RICE Mills, Forward Sports, Descon, Glitiz Pharma, Royal Fans, Hilbro International and Sapphire etc .
